Nourish Apricot Body Scrub Ingredients

Purified Water: Refers to all types of water from which chemicals have been removed via a variety of different processes.

Aloe Vera Gel: A Natural moisturizer from the leaves of Aloe Barbadensis lily plants. The gel has been traditionally used for healing and soothing skin burns, cuts and bruises.

Japanese Green Tea: This extract is rich in phenolic antioxidants which provide anti-aging properties. The antioxidant present in green tea helps to clear damage caused to the skin and repairs the wrinkles, blemishes or any other impurities on the skin. Japanese Green Tea Extract also soothes the skin and prevents irritation.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine: A natural foaming agent that is gentle on the skin and non irritating to the eyes. It is used widely in baby and no tear cleansers and shampoos.

Ground Apricot Kernel Shells: The apricot seed is often called a kernel. It has a very hard shell surrounding a nut that resembles an almond. The ground shells serve as a refreshing exfoliates and works great on most skin types.

Vegetable Glycerin: This is a natural byproduct of vegetable oil processing. It is a natural source of moisture and is also useful for helping the skin retain moisture.

TEA-Carbomer: TEA-Carbomer is a white powder that is used as a thickener and emulsion stabilizer.

Comfrey Root Extract: Comfrey is used topically to reduce inflammation and helps to speed the healing of various skin conditions including skin rashes, sunburns, dermatitis and psoriasis. Fruit Acid Extract (Glycolic, Malic and Lactic acids): Fruit acids are naturally derived from a variety of sources. Those commonly used in facial peels include malic acid from apples and pears, AHA, glycolic acid, is frequently categorized as a fruit acid, but it is actually derived from sugarcane, a type of tall grass. AHA peels encourage cell turnover to help fade surface imperfections, fine lines and wrinkles associated with aging skin. Peels also help maintain younger-looking skin by boosting the production of collagen and elastin. Lactic acid is one of a group of organic compounds collectively referred to as alpha hydroxy acids or AHAs. They’re widely used in cosmetic products, primarily as gentle exfoliates for skin care.

Chamomile Extract: Known for its soothing, healing and protective properties. Salicylic Acid: Derived from willow bark, use of salicylic acid for medicinal purposes extends as far back as Assyrian and Egyptian civilizations it us used to increase skin renewal by causing skin cells to slough off more readily, and preventing pores from clogging up. Also, its exfoliate properties make it an excellent choice to controlling acne. Allantoin: It is extracted from the roots and leaves of the comfrey plant which has long been used to expedite healing. It is an effective anti-aging skin care ingredient.

Essential Oil of Apricot: Is high in skin-nourishing essential fatty acids. It’s light, smooth properties restore skin vitality in massage, bath and after-shower applications. The oil is expressed from the seed of kernels of ripe apricots.

Grapeseed Oil: A natural preservative prolongs shelf life, helps to tighten and tone aging skin. It has powerful antioxidant effects, as well as, vitamins E, C, and A. It is non-comedogenic and anti-inflammatory due to its high linoleic acid properties, assists in stabilizing collagen and maintaining elasticity. This may help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, age spots, stretch marks and saggy skin. Moisturizing properties lends a shimmering appearance to the skin. It is a natural preservative.
