Directions for use: Apply water to face and neck. Gently rub in upward circular motions to face and neck areas. Walnut Scrub uses only the finest highly polished round shell pieces so as to be effective yet gentle and non-abrasive. Rinse well and moisturize with Nourish Body Lotion or Nourish Body Oil. Shake well before each use. Exfoliation refreshes your skin’s surfaces and brightens your appearance as it removes dead cells from the surface of your skin. But if you exfoliate too often or too aggressively, you risk damaging living cells.

Nourish Walnut Facial Scrub Ingredients

Purified Water: Refers to all types of water from which chemicals have been removed via a variety of different processes. Distilled and deionized water are both forms of purified water, because they contain no minerals.

Aloe Vera Extract: Natural moisturizer from the leaves of Aloe barbadensis lily plants. The gel has been traditionally used for healing and soothing skin burns, cuts and bruises.

Chamomile Extract: Known for its soothing, healing and protective properties.

Ground Polished Walnut Shells: Abrasive used in scrub products.

Calendula Extract: Derived from the plant commonly known as pot marigold, it is used for its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties.

Japanese Green Tea Extract: This extract is rich in phenolic antioxidants which provide anti-aging properties. The antioxidant present in green tea helps to clear damage caused to the skin and repairs the wrinkles, blemished or any other impurities on the skin. Japanese Green tea Extract also soothes the skin and prevents irritation.

Lauryl Glucoside: A surface active agent. Surfactants degrease and emulsify oils and fats and suspend soil, allowing them to be washed away.

Vegetable Glycerin: This is a natural by-product of vegetable oil processing. It is a natural source of moisture and is also useful for helping the skin retain moisture.

Seaweed Extract: Group of sea plants (algae) of all sizes and shapes, and having a gelatin-like consistency. Many types of seaweed have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Essential Oil of Spearmint (Mentha Spicata): Spearmint has strong anti-bacterial properties, as do most essential oils. A 2001 study by H. Imai and colleagues in "Microbios" found that spearmint essential oil blocked the growth of bacteria, even antibiotic-resistant bacteria, including H. pylori, Salmonella, E.coli and MRSA.

Sodium Hyaluronate: The salt form of skin-identical lubricant and moisturizer hyaluronic acid.

Allantoin: An effective anti-irritant found in many plants.

Menthol Crystals: Menthol crystals are cooling, refreshing, and have a pleasantly strong minty aroma. They are often used in cosmetics, salves, balms & medicated creams.

Phenoxyethanol: Common cosmetic preservative that is considered one of the less irritating ones to use in formulations. It does not release formaldehyde. Phenoxyethanol is approved for worldwide use in all types of water-based cosmetics.
