Purified Water: Refers to all types of water from which chemicals have been removed via a variety of different processes. Distilled and deionized water are both forms of purified water, because they contain no minerals.

Aloe Vera Gel: Natural moisturizer from the leaves of Aloe barbadensis lily plants. The gel has been traditionally used for healing and soothing skin burns, cuts and bruises.

Chamomile Extract: Known for its soothing, healing and protective properties.

Calendula Extract: Derived from the plant commonly known as pot marigold, it is used for its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties.

Hops Extract: Historically, hops extract was used in folk medicine as a tonic, sedative and anti-inflammatory agent to reduce swelling. Today, the cosmetic industry uses hops extracts in lotions and creams for its skin-softening properties.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine: Natural foaming agent that is gentle on the skin.

Vegetable Glycerin: This is a natural by-product of vegetable oil processing. It is a natural source of moisture and is also useful for helping the skin retain moisture.

Green Tea Extract: This extract is rich in phenolic antioxidants which provide anti-aging properties. The antioxidant present in green tea helps to clear damage caused to the skin and repairs the wrinkles, blemished or any other impurities on the skin. Japanese Green tea Extract also soothes the skin and prevents irritation.

Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides: Extract derived from coconut and considered a good emollient and thickening agent in cosmetics.

Cetearyl Alcohol: Fatty alcohol used as an emollient, emulsifier, thickener, and carrying agent for other ingredients. Derived naturally, from coconut fatty alcohol.

Ceteareth-20: Fatty alcohol that is used to thicken cosmetics and keep ingredients mixed together and stable.

Hydrolyzed silk protein: Protein substance (also called sericin) formed by converting silk, which is the soft, lustrous thread obtained from the cocoon of the silkworm. Silk protein can have water-binding properties for skin. There is a small amount of research showing silk protein may have topical antioxidant properties.

Lecithin: This is a natural emulsifier obtained from whole Soy bean oil and Egg yolk. It is used as an emulsifier. it is very beneficial for the skin because it improves the health of the cellular membranes which control nutrient  exchange in and out of the cells.

Vitamin E Tocopherol acetate: Considered an antioxidant superstar. It is one of the most well-known and researched antioxidants, both when taken orally and when used in skin-care products. If there were an antioxidant hall of fame, vitamin E would likely be its inaugural member. It is fat-soluble and available in various forms, with the most biologically active being alpha-tocopherol acetate.

Seaweed Extract: Group of sea plants (scientific name: algae) of all sizes and shapes, and having a gelatin-like consistency. Many types of seaweed have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Biotin: Also known as vitamin H, a water-soluble vitamin produced in the body by certain types of intestinal bacteria and obtained from food. Considered part of the B complex group of vitamins, biotin is necessary for the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and amino acids (the building blocks of protein).Biotin is used in hair growth and alopecia treatments because one of the main symptoms of biotin deficiency is hair loss. Other symptoms of deficiency include brittle nails, depression, fatigue, or rashes on the facial areas.

Grape Seed Extract: Mild astringent, helps to tighten and tone aging skin. Powerful antioxidant effects, as well as, vitamins E, C and A.  It is non-comedogenic and anti-inflammatory due to its high linoleic acid properties. Anti-aging, its light and easily absorbed texture allows it to be useful in preventing free radical skin damage.  It is a flavonoid assisting in stabilizing collagen and maintaining elasticity.  This may help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, age spots, stretch marks and saggy skin. Moisturizing properties lends a shimmering appearance to the skin. It is a natural preservative.
